The Government of the Republic of Serbia decided on December 2nd, 2010 to open the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Consular area comprises of municipalities of Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat and Budva.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia was opened by then-presidents of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Boris Tadic and Montenegro, H.E. Mr. Filip Vujanovic, on March 16th, 2011.
On March 3, 2011, the Government of the Republic of Serbia appointed Marina Jovićević as the first Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi, who held the position until January 31, 2014.
From April 15, 2014 to December 8, 2017, the position of consul general was held by Slobodan Bajić.
From December 9, 2017 to April 10, the position of head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi has been performed by consul-gerant Zoran Dojčinović.
Starting from July 20, 2022, the position of the head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi performs consul-gerant Mićo Rogović.
