The Government of the Republic of Serbia decided on December 2nd, 2010 to open the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Consular area comprises of municipalities of Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat and Budva.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia was opened by then-presidents of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Boris Tadic and Montenegro, H.E. Mr. Filip Vujanovic, on March 16th, 2011.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia appointed on March 3rd, 2011, Ms. Marina Jovicevic, at that time Assistant Minister for EU, to be the first Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia since its opening provided numerous services to our nationals. It is also of utmost importance that tourists from Serbia can address the Consulate General in Herceg Novi in case of need and emergency during their stay at the Adriatic Sea.

The Consulate General has been extremely active in fostering cultural, economic and sport relations so far, thus contributing to further strengthening of bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro.
